4.1. The general information

THE GENERAL DATA

Fuel tank of cars with petrol engines

1 – a stopper; 2 – a sealing ring. In the presence of damages replace a sealing ring. 3 – a cover топливозаливной mouths; 4 – a bolt; 5 – the valve. At valve removal take  it from the filling union, having pulled upwards. At valve installation in vertical position the valve is opened, and at its turn at an angle 45 the valve should be closed; 6 – a sealing ring. In the presence of damages replace a sealing ring; 7 – a ventilating hose. The hose of black colour fastens sideways a fuel tank and  goes to the canister with charcoal; 8 – the ventilating valve. At removal, take the valve from the filling union. Before valve installation  uncover топливозаливной mouths; 9 – a wire connected to weight of the car; 10 – the pressure head pipeline of black colour.  On the pressure head pipeline  fuel giving to the fuel filter is carried out; 11 – the returnable pipeline of dark blue colour. The returnable pipeline goes from the  engine; 12 – a four-contact electric socket. Wires of the gauge of level of fuel and the fuel pump are connected to an electric socket;

13 – фланцевая a nut of 60 Nanometers; 14 – a flange. At flange installation, the label on a flange, should be combined with a label on a fuel tank; 15 – the gauge of level of fuel; 16 – the pipeline of giving of fuel; 17 – the fuel pump. Replacement of the fuel pump is necessary for making together with a flange and the pipeline of giving of fuel; 18 – a sealing ring. In the presence of damages use those a new sealing ring. Before installation of a sealing ring moisten it in gasoline; 19 – bolts of 25 Nanometers; 20 – a fuel tank; 21 – a fixing plate; 22 – tapes for fastening of a fuel tank. Tapes for fastening has different length. The aperture in a tape is located from the forward party of a fuel tank; 23 – the holder of the fuel filter; 24 – a bolt of 10 Nanometers; 25 – the fuel filter. The arrow on the case of the fuel filter shows a direction of a stream of fuel; 26 – the pressure head pipeline of black colour. The pipeline goes to a fuel highway; 27 – the pipeline of return of fuel of dark blue colour; 28 – a ventilating hose

The fuel system of the car consists of a fuel tank, pipelines, the fuel filter, the fuel pump and system of injection of fuel.

The fuel tank made of plastic, is located under the bottom in a back part of the car. Ventilation of a fuel tank is carried out through the closed system of removal of air. At ventilation of a fuel tank of pair fuel are caught by the canister with charcoal.

The prevention

Gasoline extremely fire - also is explosive, therefore it is necessary to show care at work on any part of fuel system.

Works on fuel system are necessary for making in well aired premise for what it is possible to open all windows and doors for draught creation.

At work on fuel system do not use open fire, electric welding and tools, at work with which sparks can be formed. Check up that in immediate proximity from a workplace there is a charged fire extinguisher.

For protection of eyes against hit in them of fuel use points. At fuel hit on a skin wash out this place a plentiful quantity of water.

The capacity in which there is a fuel, contains steams of fuel and is potentially explosive.

At work with fuel system observe cleanliness as the dirt which has got to channels of fuel system, can block them that will break normal work of the engine.

Front-wheel cars with diesel engines in a fuel tank do not have fuel pump. At all-wheel drive cars with diesel engines in a fuel tank the fuel pump is established.

Before removal of a fuel tank pump out from a tank fuel.

Removal of a fuel tank make from under the car. For support of a fuel tank use a jack.

Even at an empty fuel tank there are steams of fuel which are explosive, therefore be careful.

After installation of a fuel tank start the engine and check up tightness of fuel system.
