The arrow specifies a direction of movement of the car.

The exhaust system consists of a final collector, турбонагнетателя, a reception exhaust pipe, the central and additional mufflers.

On cars with engines V6 two separate exhaust systems are established.

On cars with a drive on all wheels the double back muffler is established.

Connection of elements of an exhaust system is carried out by carving connections or tightening collars.

Exhaust system problem is tap of the fulfilled gases in atmosphere so that they even in a minimum quantity have not got to car salon, and also decrease in noise of the engine to low level. That the exhaust system could carry out the functions, it should be in good repair.

The exhaust system condition influences as well capacity of the engine and the fuel expense.

Removal

The fuel system can be removed both in gathering, and on separate sections.
PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Lift the car and fix it on supports.
2. Remove the bottom mudguard of the engine.
3. Put on nuts and bolts, крепящие elements of an exhaust system the means destroying a rust. Wait some time while the rust will not be destroyed completely.

Petrol engines

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Disconnect an electric socket of the gauge of oxygen. On six-cylinder engines disconnect sockets from two gauges of oxygen. Sockets of gauges of oxygen are located on a partition of a motor compartment.
2. Unscrew fastening of a forward part of a reception exhaust pipe from a final collector. Support an exhaust system a jack or adhere its wire to the car bottom.

Engines 1,8-I ADR and six-cylinder engines

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Unscrew fastening of a reception exhaust pipe to an arm located on a transmission.
2. Release an exhaust system from rubber suspension brackets and take it from under the car.

Installation

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. For simplification of unscrewing in the subsequent nuts and bolts, крепящих an exhaust system, grease with their high-temperature paste Liqui Moly LM-508-ASC.
2. Before repeated connection of elements of an exhaust system clear their connection by an emery paper of the hermetic and rust rests.

The engine 1,8-I ADR and the six-cylinder engine

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Unscrew an arm of support of a reception exhaust pipe from a transmission, fig. Elements of an arm for support of a reception exhaust pipe see.
2. Establish exhaust system elements in rubber pillows, but at this stage do not tighten bolts.
3. Болтвми screw the catalyst with a new lining on a reception exhaust pipe, but at this stage do not tighten definitively bolts.
4. If necessary turn exhaust system sections so that all exhaust system settled down on distance not less than 25 mm from a body.
5. Move an exhaust system so that exhaust system fastening in rubber pillows has been shifted forward on 7–9 mm (see fig. Distance (on which it is necessary to displace an exhaust system at installation). It is necessary that at heating and thermal expansion of an exhaust system it was established in correct position.
6. Definitively tighten all nuts and bolts, крепящие an exhaust system (the tightening Moments see the table).
7. Establish the bottom casing of the engine.
8. Connect electric sockets of gauges of oxygen.
9. Lower the car on the earth.
10. Start the engine and check up tightness of an exhaust system.
