2.7.10. Start of the engine after major repairs

PERFORMANCE ORDER

1. On the engine established in a motor compartment of the car, check up levels of engine oil and cooling liquid. Check up that all earlier removed wires and hoses are established on the places.

2. Disconnect an electric socket from the fuel pump.

3. Unscrew spark plugs and disconnect an electric socket from the ignition coil. Turn the engine a starter until the control lamp of pressure of oil will not go out, then screw in spark plugs and connect electric sockets to the coil of ignition and the fuel pump.

4. Start the engine. Engine start can be more long, than usually because of switching-off of fuel system.

5. At engine work idling check up absence of leaks of the fuel, cooling liquid and oil. At this stage of work of the engine can observe ся a smell and a smoke from нагретых engine parts at burning out of the oil which have got on the engine at assemblage.

6. The engine should idle until the cooling liquid will not heat up that will be felt through the top hose of a radiator. Then switch off the engine. After engine cooling check up level of oil and cooling liquid.

7. At installation in the engine of new pistons, piston rings or bearings of a cranked shaft it is necessary to make обкатку the engine during run of the first 800 km. Do not maintain the engine with completely open throttle заслонкой or under the big loading at low frequency of rotation of the engine. It is recommended to replace oil and the oil filter in the end of the period обкатки.
