1.6.1. Replacement of spark plugs

THE GENERAL DATA

Spark plugs replace at planned maintenance service.

If it is necessary to replace ever spark plugs not at planned maintenance service, it is necessary to take into consideration the following.

Spark plugs and all system of ignition as a whole are picked up to the given engine, and it promotes decrease in quantity of harmful substances in the fulfilled gases.

To avoid failures of the engine, decrease in its capacity, deterioration приемистости, increases of the maintenance of harmful substances in the fulfilled gases and creations of hindrances for radio reception, it is necessary to apply only recommended by concern a Volkswagen of a spark plug to the given engine. Before spark plug installation in the engine, check up, that the carving was pure and all threads of a carving whole.

Screw in spark plugs by hand and then tighten their demanded moment.

Connect to spark plugs high-voltage wires.
