8.1.7. Replacement of the internal hinge of equal angular speeds

THE GENERAL DATA

Power shaft with the ball hinge

The prevention

Removal of a lock ring 1 is made with use круглогубцев.

At installation of a new lining 2 it is necessary to use a new lining. Remove from a lining a protective film and paste a lining to the hinge.

Depending on the power unit the internal SHRUS in 3 diameter of 100 or 108 mm is used.

At installation of collars 5, 7 it is necessary to use new collars.

In the presence of attritions or cracks it is necessary to use a new protective cover 6. Before installation of a smaller collar of fastening of a protective cover let out from under a protective cover air.

At installation of a washer 8, the concave party of a washer should adjoin to a persistent ring.

At installation of a lock ring 10 it is necessary to use a new lock ring. Before hinge installation it is necessary to establish a lock ring in a power shaft flute.

Depending on the power unit the external SHRUS in 11 diameter of 88 or 98 mm is used. SHRUS replacement is made in gathering. At installation запрессовывайте the SHRUS a plastic hammer on a power shaft before fixing by its lock ring.

At installation it is desirable to use a new bolt 12. At a tightening of a bolt 12 car should stand on wheels.

The moments of a tightening of a bolt 12:
  – Bolt М14 of 115 Nanometers to tighten on a corner 180 ,
  – Bolt М16 of 190 Nanometers to tighten on a corner 180 .

The moments of a tightening of a bolt 13:
  – Bolt М8 40 Nanometers,
  – Bolt М10 of 80 Nanometers.

 In a protective cover of the hinge with a flange 15 there is an aperture for air release. In the presence of attritions or cracks it is necessary to use a new protective cover. Before SHRUS assemblage put on a flange a thin layer of hermetic D3.

The internal hinge of equal angular speeds is not under repair, and in case of its exit out of operation, it is subject to replacement completely.

PERFORMANCE ORDER

1. Fix a power shaft in a vice with soft sponges. 2. Using special nippers for removal of spring lock rings, remove a lock ring from the end of the internal hinge of equal angular speeds. 3. Using оправку, bring down a protective cap from the hinge. Оправку it is necessary to establish by turns in various points on cap perimetre, for its uniform removal. Move a protective cover on the power shaft middle. 4. Fix the internal hinge in a vice, then take from it a power shaft. If the power shaft does not give in to extraction from the hinge, establish the hinge under a press and, using adaptations VW 402 and VW 408а, squeeze out from it a power shaft. 5. Remove from a power shaft тарельчатую a spring washer, preliminary having noted its position. The washer has шлицы, and the convex party of a washer is from outside the hinge. 6. Before installation of the new hinge carefully clear a power shaft. 7. Establish spring тарельчатую a washer on a shaft so that the convex party of a washer was from outside the hinge, and internal шлицы washers were combined with шлицами a shaft. 8. Fix the internal hinge of equal angular speeds in a vice with soft sponges and insert into it a power shaft. In a case if the shaft does not enter into the hinge, запрессуйте the hinge on a shaft on a press, thus the shaft from below should lean against a support. 9. Establish in a power shaft flute a new spring lock ring. 10. Fill the internal hinge in 120 grammes of greasing, and one half of greasing put in the hinge on the one hand, and second half – on the other hand. 11. Establish into place a protective cover. Before fastening of a protective cover by collars, a screw-driver raise internal edge of a cover, for alignment of pressure of air under a cover.
