THE GENERAL DATA

Arrangement of the arrow specifying a direction of rotation of the tyre

Arrangement of marks of the tyre

Tyres and wheel disks (on disk wheels) are the important elements of a design of the car.

Installation and repair of tyres demands the special tool and professional skills. Professionals should carry out these works only.

For safety reasons movements, it is necessary to change whenever possible tyres not separately, and at least, on axes. Less worn out tyres should be put always on forward wheels.

On all four wheels it is necessary to have only radial tyres of the same design, the identical size (with identical length of a circle) and whenever possible identical execution of a profile of the tyre. In the presence of drawing of the protector defining a direction of rotation of tyres, on a lateral surface of the tyre there are arrows indexes (fig. the Arrangement of the arrow specifying a direction of rotation of the tyre) see. In this case it is necessary to observe a direction of rotation of the tyre strictly. Optimum road performance of the tyre, its coupling with a wet road covering are thus provided and deterioration and noise created by the tyre decrease. If at replacement of the punched wheel, the tyre with rotation against set it использова ние in this mode should be short-term is temporarily established.

On the all-wheel drive car, except that, all tyres should be identical model of the same manufacturer.

Otherwise visko-mufta because of an arising difference in frequency of rotation of wheels of both axes it is undesirable will lift the share of draught having on a back axis. It can lead to breakage.

Various depth of drawing of a protector of tyres of forward and back wheels, for example, as a result of deterioration, is not so important. However it is recommended to establish tyres with большей depth of drawing of a protector on forward wheels – if tyres of forward wheels are worn out more than tyres of back wheels, they have smaller length of a circle and rotate, therefore faster. Therefore there are additional pressure in transmission, and tyres wear out faster.

If the tyre of a spare wheel on the execution differs from other tyres of the car (for example, winter or wide-profile) such spare wheel should be used only quickly in case of failure of one of tyres of the car and at соответству ющей the raised care of driving. Instead of such wheel follows, as soon as possible again to establish a former wheel.

Never put on the car the second-hand tyre if it is not known, where and as it worked before.

The knowledge of marks of tyres helps at their choice (fig. the Arrangement of marks of the tyre see). Radial tyres have on боковине tyre covers the following marks, for example:

195/65 R 15 91 Т

195 – width of a profile of the tyre, mm

65 – the relation of height of the tyre to width of a profile of %

R – an arrangement of threads of a cord of a skeleton – a letter designation for the radial tyre

15 – diameter of a rim of a disk, inch

91 – an index of admissible load-carrying capacity

Т – an index of speed

Index of speed
The maximum speed
Q
160 km/hour
S
180 km/hour
T
190 km/hour
H
210 km/hour
V
240 km/hour
W
270 km/hour

The date of issue is specified also on боковине tyres (on occasion only on an internal surface of the tyre).

DOT CUL UM8-507 TUBELESS

DOT – the manufacturer

CU – a code designation of the manufacturer

L2 – The size of the tyre

UM8 – Tyre type

507 – manufacturing date (50th week 1997)

TUBELESSбескамерная the tyre (TUBETYPE - chamber).

Designation of wheel disks: 6J х 15 are deciphered as follows:

6J – width of a disk in inches;

J – height of an onboard edge of a disk;

х – a deep disk;

15 – landing diameter of a disk in inches.
