10.4. Check of the vacuum amplifier of brakes
The vacuum amplifier of brakes reduces effort to a brake pedal, facilitating thereby driving. Work of the vacuum amplifier of brakes is based on depression use in an inlet collector. At an exit of the vacuum amplifier out of operation working capacity of brake system is not broken, but for pressing of a pedal of a brake it is necessary to apply considerably большее effort. Press a brake pedal some times at the idle engine to create in cavities of the vacuum amplifier the identical pressure close to the atmospheric. Simultaneously on the effort put to a pedal, define, whether there is no jamming of the case of the valve. Stop педель brakes in the middle of its course and start the engine. At the serviceable vacuum amplifier the pedal of a brake after engine start should leave forward. If the pedal does not leave forward, check up fastening of a tip of a hose, connection of fastening of a flange of a tip in the amplifier, a hose and union condition. On cars with diesel engines check up working capacity of the vacuum pump. |
